Mina Mumbower

Mina graduated from Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. After graduating, she moved overseas and worked in East Africa and South Asia for several years. After returning to the US, Mina worked for the Department of Human Services in Oklahoma in the child protective services department. Mina married Evan Mumbower in 2012. After completing their Master of Arts in Islamic Studies, the Mumbowers moved to Central Asia and worked with refugees there.

Mina and her family moved to Houston in May 2020 and got connected with PLI through Sugar Creek Baptist Church. She started as PLI’s Development Director in March of 2021. Mina is passionate about helping refugees and connecting the church with the refugee community. She also enjoys traveling, running, drawing henna, and playing with her kids, Aiden and Adelaide.
