Program Director

Sam Lau

Sam serves as the program director at PLI and has worked with refugees previously as a member of the team at the Northwest Community Center in Dallas. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in architecture and spent several years living in Central and East Asia. In the past, Sam has also worked as a janitor, a web producer, a math teacher, a woodworker, and a model.

Sam is married to his wife, Charis, and they have two children whom they love dearly and who are a source of much joy. When he is not serving at PLI, Sam enjoys spending time with his family, reading, rooting for the Warriors, laughing, and trolling his friends.
